This project was based at the University of Surrey in Guildford. Guildford Court is one of the University’s student accommodation locations spread over 4 blocks. Our works covered all 4 blocks.

The project included the complete refurbishment of 112no student bedrooms in 2no blocks and remedial works to the other 112no student bedrooms in the opposing two blocks. These were completed in conjunction with the replacement of 16no communal kitchens, 48no shower rooms, general refurbishments to communal corridors and various external works.

The project was challenging due to the considerable amount of trade activity in confined areas, over a short project timescale, but was successfully handed over on time.

The works consisted of:

• Painting and decorating
• Replacement carpets
• Replacement vinyl to showrooms and bathrooms
• Communal kitchen upgrades throughout
• New lighting
• Plumbing modifications and replacement of sanitaryware
• Replacement of windows
• Replacement of guttering
• Hung tiling repairs
• Renewal of gas mains into all 4 blocks
