We received instruction from our client to carry out the complete demolition of a two-storey office block approximately 1600m2, inclusive of the removal of a large solid concrete water holding tank believed to have served a sprinkler system. The works consisted of liaising with the local authority and various utilities to proceed with the demolition of the office block. A detailed asbestos survey was conducted, and all identified asbestos was removed before demolition could proceed.

Before works could commence a perimeter hoarding was erected, later replaced with a security fence. The remainder of the site was cleared of all shrubbery, a detailed utility and services survey was carried out and the remaining “soft” areas were covered with a permeable membrane and covered with MOT type 1 to provide a secure site to facilitate a car holding area for a local car dealership.
